|By educating youth in the community as to the methods and importance of conservation and ecological preservation, we build an aware population that values the fragile river which supports our livelihood.
This is a bootstrap endeavor, and we are presently at the very beginning stages of our effort. The Nature Center currently has no paid staff; all work is volunteer with the executive director working full-time and other board members working part-time toward its success.

The Board of Directors of the Rio Bravo Nature Center Foundation, Inc. wishes to offer its most heartfelt thanks for the assistance rendered by the Rio Grande/Rio Bravo Basin Coalition in its effort to take Texas' children to the top of science literacy in the international market. This grant will cover the costs of setting up and maintaining a topnotch website and assure that the Nature Center will reach a much broader audience.
